Tools Needed To Assemble a Horizon 7.0 AE Elliptical
The first step before you start the elliptical assembling process is to gather all the necessary tools.
You don’t want to go through with one step, then realize that something is lacking.
In order to assemble a Horizon 7.0 AE Elliptical machine, you are going to need the following tools:
- Phillips head screwdriver.
- 6MM Allen Wrenches.
- Box Cutter.
In addition to the required tool, a second person to assist you through the assembling process is also going to be necessary here.
The assembling process is definitely a two-person job, so make sure you have a friend or your partner as an assistance in order to safely and successfully put the machine together.
Horizon 7.0 AE Elliptical Assembly – Step By Step Guide
Before you start the 7.0 AE assembling process, select the area where you are going to set up and operate your machine. The location must be on a hard, level surface.

STEP 1: Attach the Stabilizer Tube
First you need to attach the stabilizer tube into the main frame.
Then, install two Head Bolts with two spring Washers and 2 ARC WASHERS on each side.
STEP 2: Install The Guide Rail Set
First you need to attach the Guide Rail Set to the INCLINE BRACKET using 4 BOLTS, 4 FLAT WASHERS 4 BRACKET using 4 BOLTS, 4 FLAT WASHERS,4 SPRING WASHERS and 4 NUTS.
Then, attach the Guide Rail Set to the frame from the top using 4 bolts, 4 spring washers and 4 flat washers.
STEP 3 : Install the Console Mast
At the top opening of the Main Frame of the elliptical is a computer cable. You want to secure the free end of the twist tie that exits the bottom of the console mast to this cable.
Pull the opposite end of this twist tie up through the console mast until the cable exits the top.
Next, install the Console Mast into the receiving bracket on the top of the Main Frame. Pull slightly on the computer cable at the top of the mast while installing. This will ensure the cable does not get pinched and shorted during console mast assembly.
Then, secure the Console mast using the pre installed bolts and washers.
Next, slide the top cap rear cover around the console mast and attach it using two screws.
Snap top cap cover in the front of top cap rear cover.
STEP 4 : Install the Lower Link Arms
Install two Wave Washers onto the Left and Right sides of the Crank.
Next, slide the Left and Right Lower Link arms onto the appropriate side of the crank.
The, secure the lower Link arms using one flat washer, one spring washer and one bolt on each side of the elliptical.
STEP 5: Attach the Arm Pivot Rod & Lower Handlebar Arms
Begin by sliding the pivot rod through the console mast and center it.
Then, identify the left lower handlebar arm, and slide it onto the right side of the pivot rod.
Attach it to the arm pivot rod using two flat washers, a handlebar cap, then another flat washer, spring washer and 1 bolt. Fully tighten the screw using the provided 13mm Wrench.
Repeat this step for the right lower handlebar arm.
STEP 6: Attach the Pedal
The left pedal attaches to the bottom of the lower handlebar arm and to the back end of the left link arm.
Before attaching the pedal, insert one wavy washer, one flat washer and another flat washer into the pivot shaft of the pedal. Push the washer into place.
Next, pivot the pedal and slide it into place. Secure it to the left lower link arm using 1 flat washer, one spring washer and one bolt.
Fully tighten the screw using the provided 6mm Allen Wrench.
Next, pivot and secure the pedal to the left lower handlebar arm using one bolt, one spring and flat washer, and one nut.
Repeat these steps for the opposite side to attach the right pedal arm as previously shown.
STEP 7 : Install the Upper Handlebar Arms
Locate the left upper handlebar arm, and place it on the left side of the assembly.
The arm has hardware located on the bottom. They must be removed before attaching the arm.
Next, slowly insert the bottom end of the upper handlebar arm onto the open end of the lower handlebar arm.
Adjust the handlebar and make sure the bottom holes match the holes on the lower handlebar arm. Fully secure the left upper handlebar arm using the previously removed hardware.
Repeat this step for the Left Upper handlebar Arm.
STEP 8: Install the console
While a second person holds the Console near the static handlebar, plug the cables sticking out of the console mast into the receptacles on the Console.
The connectors on the Wires should slide easily into the receptacles and snap into place.
If a connector does not slide easily into a receptacle, turn the connector and try again.
If you do not connect the connectors properly, the Console may become damaged when you use the elliptical.
Then attach the Console to the console mast and secure it with four M4 x 16mm screws.
After you finish with the assembling process. Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the elliptical.
Finally, plug in then turn on Horizon elliptical. Elevate the incline to Level 8 and install the incline Rail Front Cover up against the Middle Stabilizer tube with four Phillips Head Screws.
