How To Disassemble Sole E95 Elliptical For Moving?

Disassembling it is not an easy task. You need to be careful when you are doing the job.

There are many reasons why you might want to disassemble the machine like:

  • You want to check the parts for wear and tear
  • You want to replace some parts because they are damaged or broken
  • You want to see if there is any way for you to make it work better.

And also in order to move Sole E95 elliptical, you would want to dismantle it first. 

Taking a Sole E95 elliptical machine apart for moving will save you so much time and energy and make it much easier to handle the awkward shape of the cross trainer.

Basically you are taking the pedals and handlebars apart from the main base of the Sole E95 machine using a wrench and screwdriver so that you have the frame as an entity and the handles with the foot pedals as a separate one. 

Next, you want to remove any attached cables from the back of your Sole E95 console and carefully lay them out on a flat surface or table so that they don’t get tangled up with anything else while moving your machine. 

Just make sure to lubricate Sole elliptical moving parts during the process of assembling it back together.

Before you take apart your elliptical and break it down into smaller pieces, the first step is to gather all the necessary tools. To disassemble Sole E95 elliptical machine, you are going to need the following tools:

Make sure to turn off and unplug the E95 from the power outlet before you start the disassembling process.

You would also consider taking photos of your machine from all angles while it’s still assembled, this will show you exactly how things should look when it comes time to reassemble. 

Start by removing all screws securing the arm covers, sliding wheel covers, stabilizer covers and incline covers in place. Remove the covers and set them aside.

Step 1: Remove the pedal arms

The E95 pedals attach to the bottom of the lower handlebar arms, and to the back end of the legs.

You can use a Phillips 6mm screwdriver in order to remove the pedals. 

After you remove the leg connections, remove both pedals. 

Step 2: Remove the handlebar arms

Remove the screw using a 13mm wrench that attaches the handlebar arms to the console mast.

Next, remove the Bolts that are attaching the upper body arms to the upper body legs. 

Slide both arms off the handlebar axle and put the screws into a plastic bag.

Next, Slowly slide the arm pivot rod from the console mast.

Step 3: Remove the legs 

The front portion of the legs slide into the side of the rod on the side of the frame, and the back portion goes into the rail assembly.

Begin by removing the screw using a 6mm allen wrench to detach the legs from the frame rod. 

Slowly slide the leg out. Do the same to the opposite side.

Step 4: Remove the console

Remove the console by unscrewing all of the four M4 x 16mm screws on the back panel of the console. Then, unplug the computer wire connectors. 

Tape the wires down to the body of the elliptical so they don’t fall inside the unit. Put the screws in the plastic bag and set them aside.

Step 5: Remove the upper handlebar arms

Remove the Bolts that are attaching the upper body arms to the upper body legs. 

Then slide both arms off the upper body legs and put the screws into a plastic bag.

Step 6: Remove the console mast

Remove the screws that are attaching the E95 console mast to the frame assembly using a 6mm allen wrench.

The button part of the console mast has cable sticking out. Make sure to carefully unclip the cable from the frame cable.

Step 7: remove the incline rail assembly

To take apart the rail assembly from Sole’s frame, remove the six bolts and washers that are connecting the rail to the main frame. 

Slowly slide and separate the rail assembly from the frame.

Once you’ve disassembled any removable parts from your elliptical, you are now left with the main frame base of your Sole E95 elliptical as one large item.

Make sure that you have collected all of the nuts and bolts and put them in a clear plastic bag so you can easily reattach once moved.
