The final case would be if you have purchased your Precor elliptical second hand or you are about to sell it and you want to delete the machine workout history and reset it to its original calibration.
Precor resetting process can take anywhere from 5 minutes up to an hour depending on the model and how many programs you have saved.

3 Easy Steps To Reset Your Precor Elliptical
The process to reset your Precor elliptical is the same for every model.
To start the reset process, turn off the Precor elliptical, and unplug it from the power outlet.
In order to initiate the recalibration process you need to use a button combination on the console.
Depending on the model of your NordicTrack elliptical, the button combination may vary.

But here is the most common button combination between Precor ellipticals:
Step #1
If your elliptical has a start button, hold down the start button and the heart rate increase button at the same time for five seconds.
However, if your Precor model doesn’t have a start button, hold down the “Program Select” and Resistance “1” button simultaneously for five seconds.
Disregard any numbers that may show on the display.
Step #2
Press either the “Start” or “Program Select” button again(depending on your machine). Disregard any combination of letters and numbers that appear.
Step #3
Press the 30 degree ramp button. If this is done correctly the ramp will start to move up and down which is a sign that the ramp is recalibrating.
Plug back and turn on Precor elliptical, you’ll now be back to using the machine with brand new default settings.
