In order to assemble a Proform Cadence LE Elliptical machine, you are going to need the following tools:

  • Phillips head screwdriver.
  • Allen Wrenches.
  • Hammer.
  • Pliers.

In addition to the required tool, a second person to assist you through the assembling process is also going to be necessary here.

Step 1: Install the leg stabilizers

With your assistance’s help, place some of the packaging material under the rear of the frame.

If there are shipping supports attached to the rear of the Frame, remove the screws from the shipping supports, and discard the screws and the shipping supports.

Have the second person hold the Frame to prevent it from tipping while you complete this step. After you identify the rear leg stabilizer, attach it to the Frame with two M10 x 115mm Screws.

Then, remove the packing materials from under the rear of the Frame.

Repeat this step with the front leg stabilizer to attach the front stabilizer to the frame.

Step 2: Install the upright

Have a second person hold the Upright on the Frame while sliding the Top Shield upward onto the Upright.

Secure the upright to the Frame with four M10 x 20mm Screws, an M10 x 77mm Bolt, an M10 Curved Washer , and an M10 Locknut. Do not fully tighten the Screws and the Locknut yet.

Locate the wire tie in the lower end of the Upright. Attach the wire tie to the wire harness, then pull the upper end of the wire tie until the wire harness is routed through the Upright.

Next, slide the Top Shield downward to the Frame, but do not press the Top Shield into place yet.

Then, attach the Water Bottle Holder to the Upright with two M4 x 16mm Screws.

Step 3: Install the console

While a second person holds the Console near the Upright, plug the Wire Harness and the Pulse Wires into the receptacles on the Console.

The connectors on the Wire Harness and the Pulse Wires should slide easily into the receptacles and snap into place.

If a connector does not slide easily into a receptacle, turn the connector and try again.

If you do not connect the connectors properly, the Console may become damaged when you use the elliptical.

Insert the excess wire into the Upright or into the Console. Then attach the Console to the Upright and secure it with four M4 x 16mm screws.

The next step is to attach the console covers. Start by attaching the rear console Cover to the Upright with two M4 x 16mm Screws. Then attach the front cover to the rear console cover with another two M4 x 16mm Screws.

Lastly, attach the accessory Tray to the Upright with two M4 x 16mm Screws.

Step 4: Attach the handlebars

While the second person hold the Left and Right Handlebars near the Upright, locate the remaining two wire ties inside the Upright.

Tie the lower ends of the wire ties to the Pulse Wires. Then, pull the upper ends of the wire ties upward out of the top of the Upright.

Attach the Left and Right Handlebars to the Upright with two M8 x 77mm Bolts and two M8 Jam Nuts. Make sure to not damage the Wire Harness and the Pulse Wires inside the Upright.

Step 5: Install the upper body arms

Identify the Right Upper Body Arm, and insert it into the Right Upper Body Leg.

Then attach it with two M8 x 41mm Bolts and two M8 Locknuts. Make sure that the Locknuts are in the hexagonal holes.

Repeat this step for the Left Upper Body Arm.

Next, insert the Pivot Axle into the Upright, and center it.

Using a small plastic bag to keep your fingers clean, apply a generous amount of the included grease to both ends of the Pivot Axle.

Slide a Pivot Spacer onto each side of the Upright. Then, slide the right upper body arm onto the right side of the Pivot Axle.

Repeat the same on the other side of the elliptical.

Next, tighten an M8 x 25mm Screw with an M8 Washer into each end of the Pivot Axle at the same time.

Next, slide the right Upper Body Arm Cover upward. Then, press the tabs on an Axle Cap into the Upper Body Arm Spacer.

Repeat the same on the other side of the elliptical.

Step 6: Attach the pedal arms

Attach the Right Pedal to the Right Pedal Arm with three M8 x 10mm Screws. Start all the Screws, and then tighten them.

Attach the Left Pedal to the Left Pedal Arm in the same way.

Next, tighten the crank arm stud firmly into the Right Crank Arm. Make sure that the Crank Arm Stud is firmly tightened.
Then, tighten an M6 x 8mm Set Screw into the Right Crank Arm and the Crank Arm Stud.
Repeat this step on the other side of the elliptical.

Apply a small amount of grease to the axle on the right Crank Arm Stud.
Slide the Right Pedal Arm onto the axle on the right Crank Arm Stud.
Next, slide an M10 x 28mm Washer onto an M10 x 20mm Screw, and tighten the Screw into the axle. Then, press a Pedal Arm Cap into the Right Pedal Arm.
Repeat this step on the other side of the elliptical.

Next, apply a small amount of grease to an M6 Bolt Set.
Hold the end of the Right Pedal Arm inside the bracket on the right Upper Body Leg.
Attach the right Upper Body Leg to the Right Pedal Arm with the M6 Bolt Set.
Repeat this step on the other side of the elliptical.

After you finish with the assembling process and ensure all all screws are tight, turn on your Proform elliptical and test the elliptical by running on it for a few moments before use to make sure everything is working properly.
